THE INSPIRATION
THE STORY
Desert Mirage is a Spring/Summer 2020 capsule collection designed by me for Chloe.
The inspiration for this collection was the desert and it’s minimalism. I embodies the desert in my collection through the color palette, the prints that I chose and the silhouettes I designed. I showed the desert’s “toughness” by using details and trims such as cargo pockets, rope and metallic buckles that contrasted against feminine silks and chiffons in pastel colors.
Chloe’s brand aesthetic is fluid and feminine but with a “boyish” touch. Through the collection I tried to stay true to the brand’s aesthetic by mixing very feminine and delicate elements with more masculine ones that overall help embody the brand’s essence.
